Carlsberg Malawi Limited yesterday dressed Carlsberg Cup semi-finalists—Nyasa Big Bullets, Red Lions, Be Forward Wanderers and Moyale Barracks—but warned the teams to observe fair play and discipline.

Speaking during the uniforms presentation to the four teams at Football Association of Malawi (FAM) offices in Chiwembe, Blantyre, Carlsberg brands manager (alcoholics) Twikale Chirwa said they are impressed with the progress of the competition.

Chirwa: We are happy

He said: “So far, we are happy with the progress and we are looking forward to great semi-finals and finals in the coming weeks. We urge players, officials and fans to behave as they have done throughout the competition.”

Each team has received 30 pieces with personnalised jerseys.

Chirwa said the uniforms presented to clubs are in line with the brewer’s idea of keeping the tradition of giving each player a remembrance.

“Carlsberg has not left out fans as they will be give away 250 tickets per game in joints,” he said.

FAM competitions manager Gomezgani Zakazaka thanked the sponsors for the gesture.

“Carlsberg remains one of our key partners in football development. We appreciate the support that we get from the brand,” he said.

Wanderers and Moyale clash at Mzuzu Stadium tomorrow while second semi-final between Bullets and Lions will be at Bingu National Stadium on Sunday.

The Nomads are defending champions. n
